With Valentines Day just around the corner, it's a great time to share some of the top 10 free patterns that I absolutely LOVE! If you need some ideas, this is the perfect place to start looking.

1. Rose Bouquet Coaster

Written by Sweet Softies, this pattern is offered online for free with ads, or if you want to support the artist, is also available for purchase. The pattern features a dozen rose buds along the edge of a circular coaster and has two variations, rosebuds and blooming roses. If you want to gift something that not only looks cute, but is also functional, this is the pattern for you.

A little bit about the pattern:

  1. It's no-sew.
  2. It's quick to work up.
  3. Includes a flower pot for storage (to make it look like a pot filled with roses!).

2. Valentine Bear

This pattern was written by Sarah Zimmerman of Repeat Crafter Me, and is super cute. As an avid amigurumi crocheter, this bear is the perfect gift for someone that loves stuffed animals.

If you're not quite a fan of the super-sweet things, this little guy is perfect instead. Made by DIY FLUFFIES While he's still red and has a heart wand, he still fits the theme of Valentines without going overboard and still being cute and lovable. He's even got his own backstory!

  2. Needs a bit of a size-fitting to ensure that you end up with the right size.

While this one isn't heart or Valentine's Day themed, we think it can still be the perfect gift. Change the colour around to a favourite colour and you're good to go! Made by Kim on The Caffeinated Snail, this pattern is simple and comes together cleanly.

I think we've made it pretty clear that we love amigurumi. We also love this hedgehog pattern written by Jennifer on Crochet to Play. This little guy is small, round and fits perfectly in your hands.
